Osamu Kobayashi

Birthplace: Fuchuu, Tokyo, Japan Osamu Kobayashi is an animator and anime director. He started his career in Toei Douga (now Toei Animation) in 1963 (same year as Miyazaki Hayao and Shibayama Tsutomu). Later on, together with Shibayama, he transferred to A Production (now Shin-Ei Douga) where he was a chief animator until he, Shibayama, and Yamada Michishiro went on to form Ajia-dou in 1978.
