Birth place: Tokyo, Japan Tatsurou Yamashita is a singer-songwriter, and record producer. A major figure in popular music, Yamashita is regarded as one of the world's most influential musicians and one of the greatest singers of all time. His song "Christmas Eve" became the standard Japanese Christmas song. It first appeared on his album Melodies in 1983 and was later released as a single in 1986.
